Our latest addiction...CERRO SAN LUIS MICROMILL, COSTA RICA - FILTER
This is the kind of coffee that keeps calling you back — easy-drinking, comforting, delicious and nourishing, with enough character to keep you filling your cup throughout the day.
Try it on V60:
🔹️16g coffee / 300g water / 3ish minutes
Slowly spiral pour 50g to fully saturate → bloom for 20 seconds → gently swirl cone to agitate & distibute evenly → pour 250g of water in single pour.
Sniff, sip, repeat ☕️

From the West Valley of Costa Rica, meet our latest filter coffee: Cerro San Luis Micromill, a family-run operation in Grecia owned and operated by siblings Alexander & Magali Delgado and their spouses.
CHOCOLATE | RED WINE | STICKY DATE
Complex yet effortlessly quaffable, this coffee brings subtle layers of cooked fruit and chocolate, with a gentle touch of honey. Not too bright — just right. Expect a beautiful aroma, smooth body, and a moreish finish that shines in your pour-over, V60, or drip setup.
At Cerro San Luis, cherries from the family’s farms are brought to their home micromill for processing. This lot is Yellow Honey processed, meaning the cherry skin is removed while 25–75% of the sweet mucilage remains on the beans as they dry in direct sunlight. As the mucilage oxidises, it takes on its characteristic golden-yellow hue.
The family has also invested heavily in quality, introducing 10+ different coffee varieties to their farms over recent years as they continue to improve their coffees and remain competitive.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Mr. Mengeche Derso owns and operates 15 hectares of land in the highlands of Gedeo Zone, where this coffee is produced. Located in the Southern Region of Ethiopia, renowned for the production of high-quality Yirgacheffe coffee.
At 62 years old, Mr. Mengeche brings years of farming experience to the area, and is recognised for producing premium coffee.
He has 12 children. Along with four of his children, he actively works on the coffee farm. They use natural fertilisers such as animal manure and plant remnants to enrich the soil.
The Single Farmer Project is the result of an effort to support Ethiopian producers with a marketplace for farm-traceable coffees.

Freshly sliced mortadella from Ballarat Western Plains free-range pork, creamy stracciatella, rocket and sweet pimentos on a layer of our house-made basil pesto (no nuts!) all piled high on Turkish pide. What a mouthful!!
