Rhone Valley Wine Dinner, Thursday 23rd April
Beginning with an exploration of the northern and southern Rhône region.
Join us for an intimate four-course dinner in our private dining room with wines matched to an exclusive chef-designed four-course menu.
With our host Thomas Gisbert of Mosaique Wines, you’ll discover the wines of one of the oldest and most storied wine regions in the world.
Stretching 200 kilometres through the heart of southeastern France, the Rhône Valley is one of the most dramatically varied wine regions.
In the north, steep granite terraces cling to the riverbanks around Côte-Rôtie and Hermitage.
Travel south and the landscape opens into a sun-drenched expanse of rolling garrigue where the stones of Châteauneuf-du-Pape soak up the heat and give rise to rich and generous blends.
Thomas Gisbert is the founder of Mosaique Wines a Melbourne-based importer dedicated to bringing artisanal French wines to Australia.
At the table, Thomas brings the warmth, knowledge and generosity that defines French wine culture at its best.

There’s a beautiful accident behind every perfect Tarte Tatin.
In the 1880s, at a small countryside hotel in France, the Tatin sisters were preparing an apple tart for their guests. One busy service, the apples were left caramelising a little too long in butter and sugar. Instead of starting again, they placed the pastry on top and baked it and flipped it upside down before serving.
What came out was magic.
Deep amber caramel, tender apples, crisp golden pastry.
At Chez Bagou, we honour that same spirit, simple ingredients, a touch of boldness and a little French romance on every plate.
Classic and unmistakably French.
