It's officially winter tomorrow, but someone forgot to tell the city leaves!
There's so much colour still around the CBD, and mixed with some sweet winter sun, it's blissful to wander around and snap a photo or 3.

Recently, we were delighted to host from beautiful France. 🇫🇷 While Justine wasn’t so keen on the Melbourne weather ❄️ she quickly found our huge 20m+ indoor pool and gym. The weather is always perfect there! 😎
She also couldn’t stop talking about our amazing hot buffet breakfast and loved making her own pancakes. 🥞 And just like all our guests, we know she loved having Melbourne right on her doorstep.

Here at Pegasus Apart'Hotel, we are blessed with our location. Literally steps away from Queen Vic Market 🚶♀️🏛
And we have the best neighbours. They don't need to butter-us-up.
Except for today, perhaps... 😉
Today, we discovered the creamy delights of . The samples were lush, filling and utterly delicious. We left with the Garlic & Black Pepper and grabbed some freshly baked sourdough on the way out. The perfect pairing.
QVM is always a vibrant and energetic treat for body and soul.

Drewery Lane — Quiet Achiever
Tucked away in the CBD, Drewery Lane is one of Melbourne’s quiet achievers.
Not being one of the city’s most famous laneways is part of its charm.
Instead of large-scale murals, you’ll find a collection of smaller works — street art, hidden details and tiny mosaics that reward a slower wander.
There’s more here than meets the eye too. A café, a bar… and often a queue — that classic Melbourne sign that something good is hidden nearby.

Weekend Wandering 🍂
Few cities reward a walk quite like Melbourne.
In the warm autumn sunshine, trams roll beneath golden trees, the parks glow with colour and the people-watching can be just as memorable as the scenery.
From Pegasus Apart’Hotel, it’s easy to explore on foot or jump on a short tram ride (free within the CBD) and discover the city at your own pace.

Tomorrow is ANZAC Day, making today a fitting time to reflect on one of Melbourne’s most significant landmarks ~ the Shrine of Remembrance.
The Shrine honours Australians who have served in war, peacekeeping and military operations. For many Melburnians, it remains one of the city’s most meaningful and respected places.
It’s also one of Melbourne’s most beautiful places to visit.
From the impressive steps and terraces, the view back towards the city and skyline is absolutely stunning.
The Shrine is a short tram ride from Pegasus Apart'Hotel, or an easy turn-around point on a lovely walking itinerary including Fed Square, the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Think Melbourne, Think Coffee ☕️
It's a religion in this town, and all us locals have our personal favourite cafes.
And here at Pegasus Apart'Hotel, we are blessed with our CBD location 🧭
We are surrounded by dozens, yes literally dozens, of incredible coffee-spots within an easy walk from our front door.
Some are in hidden laneways, some are just a window in a wall while others are located in world-famous markets. What links them all is ~ great coffee!
