This artwork was a chance find on instagram, I loved it right away and messaged Warisara hoping, but without much faith that it was for sale.
Its such a fun work to watch people figure out if they don’t see the fighters right away, as its never what they expect to find.

Louise, apart from being an amazing artist was also part owner of the Alderman for a long time, so its essential that we have something by her in the space.
This work is so beautiful no matter where you view it from, the construction is so precise, and from afar its so striking and enigmatic.
I love how much personality her assemblages have, the way the building and this structure play off against each other has all this humor and tension in equal measure.
You can see lots of Louise’s work in public as well, on the pen link and the coburg bike trail, so keep an eye out for other fantastic objects.

untitled - Warren O’Brien ~2017

I bought this work from the Gala in 2018, I had seen dozens of Warrens paintings in the past, but this one really stuck with me and I knew I had to have it.
Arts Project is a great organization that provides studio access and gallery representation to artists with intellectual disabilities.
This painting has held the spot opposite the bar for about 5 years, and no matter how much time I’ve spent looking at it I always find something new.
Warrens work is always really captivating, and I love how this one changes when the afternoon light hits it.
