CIAO CHA rolls into Mister Bianco!
Small plates. Big Italian appetite.
Coming Tuesday evenings from 13 October, discover an Italian–Sicilian style yum cha experience, bringing the warmth and generosity of Sicily straight to your table on our colourful, Sicilian-styled “carretto” trolleys.
For those who want a taste of everything, enjoy eight to ten tastes across 90 minutes — from warm bread and antipasti to golden fried bites, handmade pasta, a main and dessert — for $69 per person.
Begin with warm focaccia and Sicilian olives as our Aperitivo Carrello makes its rounds with spritzes, cocktails and Italian w**es, available to purchase separately. 🍸
Our weekly changing menu may bring sweet-and-sour caponata, warm whipped salt cod on crisp crostini or yellowfin tuna alla Zingara, followed by favourites such as arancini al ragù and Sicilian chickpea fritters.
Then comes the call of “Pasta! Pasta!” as handmade pasta arrives, followed by our Carrello d’Or — a signature highlight that might feature slow-roasted porchetta with crisp crackling, salsa verde and seasonal sides.
And because every Italian gathering needs a sweet ending, the dessert trolley may tempt you with ricotta-filled Sicilian cannoli or Mister Bianco’s famous tiramisù. ❤️
With upbeat modern Italian music and each dish introduced with its ingredients and regional story, it’s an evening of discovery, conversation and plates that keep on coming. Chef Joe Vargetto will change the dishes weekly to celebrate the season and give you something new to return for.

DID YOU KNOW.....that Misterbianco is a town in Sicilia which rises
a few kilometers from Catania, on the southern slopes of the imposing Mount Etna volcano and is surrounded by the rich lands of the valleys | planted with vineyards and olive groves.
The territory of the town is crossed by the lava currents of the 1669 eruption that destroyed the ancient town and today it is possible to admire the remains buried in the archaeological area of Campanarazzu.
It was chosen as it’s the Middle point when our Chef/Owner Joe was deciding on a name for the restaurant 16 years ago, Mum Maria from Messina and Dad from Ragusa, so taking the middle point which was Mister Bianco, near Mount Etna, Catania.

Join us for Brescia a Tavola — a one-night celebration of the food, w**e and traditions of Brescia, with a menu created in collaboration with Sebastiano Pezzoli “il Bresciano”
From carpione, spongada with salame nostrano and farm-style cheese with agrodolce vegetables, to hand-stuffed Casoncelli alla Bresciana and Rovato-style Manzo all’Olio, this is generous, rustic cooking deeply connected to the tables of northern Italy.
We finish at the sweet table with traditional Brescian cakes and chocolate salame, accompanied throughout the evening by selected w**es from Ca’ dei Frati.

More than fifteen years later, it’s still at the heart of what we do.
Three antipasti to share, one pasta, one secondo with a side for the table, and one house-made dolce per person.

To get to this Italian restaurant on High Street in Melbourne, there are a couple of options.
For public transport, you can take the tram and get off at stop number 32 on High Street. Alternatively, you can take a train to Armadale station and then catch the tram from there.
If driving, please note that parking can be limited in the area. However, there are some street parking options available along High Street and nearby side streets. It is also possible to park at a nearby car park for a fee.
