Celebrate the release of STEPMOTHER’s second LP Absurdus Manifestus (Legless Records) and send them off on their European tour with a loud, cozy night at The Gem Bar. With friends Boris Black (Scientists / Beast of Bourbon), Cujo (members of Rot TV, Electric Chair, Private Function, Blood Duster), and a very special DJ set from Jake Robertson of Alien Nosejob.

Psychobabel announces the controlled release of their new single “20 Bellowing Men Testing the Echo.” Documentation confirms that at least twenty men entered a chamber of uncertain size and began bellowing to determine whether the echo was operational. The echo responded immediately and with enthusiasm. Psychobabel has preserved the results. Recorded under unclear conditions and approved by no identifiable authority, the single captures the moment where sound becomes structured and the room begins answering back. It remains unclear whether the men were testing the echo, or if the echo was testing them. No department has confirmed whether any of this is true.
